Bye Bye Buggie

My entry for woot’s bug derby this week, yeyaaaah. I wanted to do a more detailed version of my bad tarantula boy and the derby gave me an excuse! Check out those halftones.

I actually did some research on tarantulas and they are VERY interesting. I mean, I would not want one crawling up my arm or calling me mama, but the fact that they are slow but powerful and are even kept as pets is incredible to me.

LOVE this!! It’s got my vote for sure!! :D

I decided that this summer I would challenge myself with designing a shirt for shirt.woot’s weekly derby, because honestly, it’s good practice for staying inside of design specs and thinking more graphically and it’s fun to see the other entries. Last week’s was “Third Wheel” and this was mine! I think it’s pretty cute.

DARK METAMORPHOSIS

I like playing Castlevania for a few minutes, handing the controller over to someone else (my boyfriend) and then drawing my own version of the characters.
